Hey Everyone,

So transfers happened this week, Elder Welling got here and we got to work. He's been in the boondocks his whole mission so coming to the city has been a pretty big adjustment for him. He's been reminding me how much trash is in this city, literally.

The main miracle that happened this week was Travis. We sat down with him before Elder Patterson left and taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ ( Faith, Repentance, etc...). He loved it. When we left that day, Elder Patterson reminded me that we might want to tell him that he'll have to wait a year to get sealed. So I was preparing for that for the next two days, only to get there and he told us that he already knew about getting a temple recommend and waiting a year and all of that. So we threw Law of Chastity at him, and he responded by saying, "Oh yeah, I was reading that pamphlet last night." Needless to say, we were blown away by this point, so we gave him the Word of Wisdom, and he said, "Yeah, my wife and I talked about that a while ago and I haven't had coffee in three weeks." We both just sat there for a second, it honestly was pretty funny. Travis is honestly doing so well, it's incredible to watch.

Other than that, this week has just been a lot of running after buses and getting home late. I lost my handbook on Monday while sprinting for a bus; that was sad, but I'll just have to get a new one. We had to run after a few buses that night, once after the same bus twice. The second time, we caught it, and everyone recognized us as the guys who were running after it the first time, so we got a ton of respect from them, it was awesome. The third bus we ran after, we missed entirely, so we had to call the Zone Leaders to come pick us up because the next bus wasn't going to be there for another hour.

We were waiting for a bus on Thursday or so, and it was raining really hard, so we took shelter beside a Do Not Enter sign near the bus stop to try and shield us from the rain (see picture below). Also included in the pictures are some cool shots of the skyline from a distance, a random door painting of a lady, and a random picture of a bench and building.

Love you all,
Elder Howell
