Jared Howell Mission

Hey all, The West York Ward has been telling us to work more in the suburbs, apparently past companionships have been working in the city of York a lot, so we have been focusing a lot of our efforts outside the city, more specifically this one neighborhood that our ward mission leader told us we should Knock so we've been doing that for most of this week and we've already seen the blessings of it.  On Monday  night we were knocking that neighborhood, and managed to find a man named Kyle who said he'd be interested but he was really busy so he told us to come back later. Then we were back there  on Wednesday  night and this really nice family let us in to hear our Christmas message. We told them about Light the World and tried to get a return appointment but they weren't sure when they'd be free next. I also had a total "me" moment when we first came in. Hey all, I got to say goodbye to all my favorite members  on Monday  and  Tuesday , I'll attach pictures below, which was really cool but sad at the same time. I'll definitely miss the Harbor but I'm excited to see what West York has in store for me. I've been in York since Wednesday and it has been a blast. I've been having to learn a whole new style of missionary work, at least that's what it feels like. Not only am I out of Baltimore, which now allows me to knock doors, but I have a car! It has been a really fun time. York is a little like Baltimore, but much less dangerous. We have most of the City of York as well as large amount of suburbia. The ward is also very different, it is one of the largest wards in the stake, and they have a normal church building, which is also very different from Harbor. Hey all, The missionaries here in Baltimore have already heard, I am getting transferred. I am going up to West York to be with Elder Graff!! But that means I have to leave the Inner Harbor. I love this area so much and I especially love the ward. And I love it all the more now because a new member joined the fold of God this past weekend.  I've talked about Julia several times in these emails and she had her baptism this past weekend and it was an incredible experience. It truly can't be described by words but I will do my best. It feels like just yesterday I was knocking on her door while on exchanges with Elder Gordon and we had a talk on her porch about the Book of Mormon. And last Saturday I got to stand with her in the baptismal font as she began her journey towards Exaltation. There have been times where it has felt like one hurdle after another kept popping up but this past week we finally made it to the gate. Then to stand in the circle yesterday as Elder Hasla
