Missed A Week

Hey all, Sorry I didn't write last week, it was kind of a chaotic day filled with bowling and an ER visit, not necessarily in that order. Elder Miles and I went to Walmart early in the morning because we were planning on going bowling with the Front Royal elders around  noonish . When we got home Elder Miles was opening a box and he cut his finger. He didn't cry out or anything, he just walked into the kitchen and told me he was bleeding. So we put 3 band-aids on it then wrapped it in tape to keep pressure on it, very MacGyver of us. Then he sat down i looked at him and he looked a little out of it. When he put his head down i told him to get up and stay moving. Needless to say, he go about 15 or 20 more feet then decided to take a closer look at the floor. He was still awake so I called the Zone Leaders then Sister Christiansen and I took him to the ER. They looked at his finger then glued it shut, did you know they had medical glue instead of stitches? We left the ER and went

8 Months and Full Integration

Hey everyone, So much has happened this week, it all seems like a blur so lets see if I can remember the highlights. That night a member took us out to Uncle Bucks, a local southern restaurant. It was so good.  Elder Miles and I can't remember what we did  on Tuesday  and nothing important happened  on Wednesday .  Thursday  was the really long day. If you haven't heard already, the church is integrating smart phones into missionary work instead of tablets. Since my mission never had tablets, we got to jump straight from old fashioned missionary work to working with these smart phones. We had Zone Conference  on Thursday , which is when we got the ph

Massive Changes

Hey Everyone, So  Tuesday  started off as a normal day, woke up, got dressed, left for District meeting. we had to go and pick up the Shrewsberry Elders because their car was in the shop, ours had to go in later, manufactures recall to fix the trunk, or something like that. When we got to the church and sat down to study,  President Christiansen called. He told me that he had been looking at the transfer board and praying about it. then he told me that I won't be going to Baltimore but re-opening the Luray, pronounced Lu-ray, Virginia branch to missionary work. As soon as he told me, the excitement of going back to Baltimore was replaced by the calm power of the Holy Ghost, telling me that this is where I need to be right now. Baltimore will come later. So  on Wednesday  morning I finished packing and a member drove us down to Colombia, where I spent the next hour running around, gathering a phone, car and house keys, and getting my new companion, Elder Miles, who came down
