Pictures!!! Amazing Sunset that my camera couldn't fully capture the beauty. Harve de Grace is so beautiful. Feat. A boat. I broke down and bought some Canadian Candy. I've seen some of the most beautiful cars out here. Loved the irony of this trailer. And forest, because beauty.

July 23, 2018

Hey all, The two main highlights of this week was  Tuesday  and  Friday .  On Tuesday , I got to go on exchanges with Elder Southwick while Elder Lape went to Bynum Run with Elder Livermore. Elder Southwick is so funny. We were laughing and making references the whole time while still being able to work. We saw a really cool ship in Havre De Grace. It was also raining like nuts, east coast style. It would rain like none other for 10 minutes then it would stop for a while, then start up again without warning. Since we've both served in West York, he actually replaced me there, we were reminiscing about the people up there. We drove out to the boondocks referral again, I honestly don't think anyone lives there because there's never anyone home and the place looks slightly abandoned.  Then  on Friday  we had our first interviews with President Mutombo, which was an adventure all in itself because he got stuck doing something at the mission office so he didn't end u

The Miles Were Worth It

Hey Everyone, We had District Meeting and a lesson with Colleen  on Tuesday . We felt like we needed to read 2 Nephi 2 with her, since she's been having some trouble understanding. While we were reading, she would stop us and ask awesome questions about why we believe certain things, and we were always able to answer her questions with the next verse, or a verse on the previous page. It was amazing to see the Book of Mormon open her eyes to the truth. We also went to a funeral  on Tuesday  evening for one of the members of our ward. it was the third funeral I've been to on my mission and all of them have been very spiritual experiences. This one especially strengthened my testimony of eternal families and life after life, as President Nelson put it.  We had an awesome miracle  on Wednesday . We received a Bible referral for the geographically middle of our area, which we hardly ever go to. We drove out there after dinner, it took an hour to drive out there, about 23 mil

Hey Everyone, The main highlight of this week was definitely   Thursday , when we got to drive down to Essex to meet President Mutombo. We all got there early and were sitting down, quietly studying like we have always done, when President comes in like a whirlwind of energy and smiles. He immediately started walking around the room, high-fiving everyone, and talking up a storm. Before the meeting even started, he managed to have a conversation with just about everyone in the room, individually. As he was talking, it was so amazing to see how the Lord calls his servants and directs his work. He talked a lot of about working with members, which is something that both Elder Lape and I have been feeling like we need to do. He also talked a bunch about seeing the end from the beginning, not only having Baptism as a goal, but also having the temple in mind whenever we talk to people. It's definitely something I need to work on, along with quite a few other things that will make m

Fresh Eyes, Fresh Direction

Hey Everyone, This has been an absolutely awesome week. The beginning was filled with packing and running every which way, trying to help Elder Apgood out getting everything situated before he left. Then Wednesdat , we woke up at 5:30 i n order to avoid most of Baltimore traffic and be in Colombia by 7:45.  We got there around 7, but we decided that if we had left a half hour earlier we would've hit an hour of traffic, instead of the 10 minutes we got. Elder Apgood went into his training meeting around 8, leaving me to companion jump until 11, when Elder Lape arrived. It was a lot of fun because I got to actually talk to a lot of Elders that I haven't seen in ages. Then Elder Lape arrived and we drove home and got to work. We helped one of the older ladies in the ward move a bed upstairs from the garage and a dresser from the bedroom into the garage then we got a text from the Winter's Run Elders saying that the on-duty clergy for one of the hospitals in Havre de Grace cont
